Consolidating 300+ Million Records Across 23 Systems

Faced with severe architectural fragmentation, a major financial and insurance holding company partnered with us to modernise their historical data landscape. Across the parent organisation and its various subsidiaries, we successfully migrated over 300 million legacy recordings sourced from 23 disparate recording solutions into a single, unified, and highly secure environment.

Heterogeneous Archive & Format Consolidation

Managing diverse legacy ecosystems required handling a wide variety of proprietary and standard audio formats. Our migration pipelines successfully ingested and unified data from:

  • Avaya: Avaya ACR (Avaya Call Recording)
  • Telephony & IP Solutions: Asterisk, Interactive Intelligence CIC (Customer Interaction Center)
  • WordNet (Racal Recorders)
  • Nice Solutions: Nice NPX and Nice Enterprise / Perform
  • Legacy Formats: Raw unstructured .wav file dumps
Multi-Source Metadata Ingestion & Harmonisation

To ensure no context or compliance data was lost during the transition, we extracted and harmonised metadata from multiple diverse origins:

  • Native Recorder Database: Direct extraction from legacy MS SQL and recording solution databases
  • Documentary Records: Structured data pulled from associated Excel spreadsheets and flat text files 
  • System Exports: XML metadata schemas paired directly with audio assets
  • Filename parsing:  Advanced algorithmic extraction of metadata embedded natively within legacy file-naming structures
High-Performance MS SQL & Custom .NET MAUI Retrieval

Following migration, the massive dataset was indexed within an expertly optimised MS SQL database environment designed to handle extensive concurrent search parameters with minimal latency. Users access and interact with these archives through our proprietary retrieval and playback application built on modern .NET MAUI with Blazor architecture—guaranteeing lightning-fast response times, cross-platform responsiveness, and uncompromising security with full audit trails
